Paralegal

Bio of Billie Jean Millen

Billie Jean Millen received her A.A.S. degree in Paralegal Technology from Gaston College in 2001, graduating with Honors. She became a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal in 2014.
Her primary interest has been criminal law although she does have experience in Family Law and Civil Litigation as well. Her favorite part of the job is the legal research she does assisting Mr. Lange in locating relevant statutes and case law that can be important in the cases the firm is litigating.
The U.S. Constitution, with its legal safeguardsand rights provided for those accused, sometimes wrongly, of crimes; is her passion. One of the most gratifying aspects of the work she does is seeing someone acquitted of a charge that should never have been lodged in the first place.
She has worked with Mr. Lange from 2005 to 2010, and again from 2014 to the present.
Her interests outside of work include being active in her church, doing an occasional 5K (with an eye toward a 10K and then a half marathon); yoga, reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends.
